Classes take place online (see how it works for detailed information). Online classes will start once a minimum of three students have registered. Online classes will not host more than 10 students, so the teacher still can be closely involved with every student. A course consists of 12 academic hours. Yiddish Classes - beginners level
No preliminary requirements are needed. Student will become familiar with Yiddish/Hebrew alphabet and learn basics of Yiddish grammar and vocabulary that will enable basic conversation and understanding of simple Yiddish texts.
Yiddish Classes - intermediate level
Student must to have passed the beginners level in order to attend the intermediate level. Waivers can be obtained after preliminary oral examination by one of our teachers. Student will improve skills in Yiddish grammar and vocabulary that will enable Yiddish newspaper reading and participation to Yiddish normal conversations.
Yiddish Classes - advanced level
Student need to have passed the intermediate level in order to attend the advanced level. Waivers can be obtained after preliminary oral examination by one of our teachers. Student will learn advanced Yiddish grammar and increase their vocabulary. Student will be exposed to Yiddish literature and improve Yiddish writing skills.
